Shygirl's album Alias is perfect for Halloween. I mean just look at that album cover... But sonically, she nails the freak, creepy, electronic vibe. Also, the screaming beat in her single "UCKERS" is so much fun. I love Shygirl, and she is Halloween royalty for me.

A lot of Memphis rap has that horrorcore, creepy vibe to it, which I love a lot. Kingpin Skinny Pimp is one of my favorite Memphis rappers, and "Skinny But Dangerous" really nails the vibe for me. His song "Lookin' for da Chewin'" is another great option. And if you want some more Memphis rap songs for your Halloween playlist, I suggest "Murderers and Robbers" by Project Pat and "Tric Or Treat" by Young Dolph. 

"Disturbia" is thee Halloween pop song. It raised me. But I also think Rihanna's more recent song "Woo" is a great choice: I love the dark, industrial beat. It's always been top 3 on Anti for me. 

It wouldn't be a Halloween party without "Monster," specifically Nicki's verse (obviously). But I also don't think Kanye's verse gets enough praise tbh. "Have you ever had sex with a pharaohhhh, put the p*ssy in a sarcophagus" eats sorry. Also, his song "Send It Up" from Yeezus is another great choice; that beat from Arca just screams Halloween to me. 

Honestly, the whole TURN OFF THE LIGHT album is perfect for this season. You can't go wrong with any of the songs. But "Death by Sex" is one of the best pop songs ever made. "Close Your Eyes" and "Party Till I Die" are also standouts. There's some really great instrumental tracks on the album, which would be perfect for a DJ set, such as "<demons>" or "TRANSylvania." You have so many options.

"Say my name like Candyman, and bitch, you know I'm there / These hoes wish they saw me when they lookin in the mirror" is Meg at her best. Her and Rico perfectly capture the energy of the season on this track; it's just so fun. Rico's line "My bitches goons and goblins" inspired this whole playlist! The song feels like friends just being goons and goblins on Halloween (and being hot af). 

But what really gets me in the spooky szn spirit is the music. It’s seriously underrated. I wish more artists would release Halloween albums like they do Christmas albums.

My favorite Halloween yet was last year. I had fun as Beast Boy from Teen Titans and the teenager from Hereditary, but the costume that really took the crown was my Addison Rae look, alongside my friends Charli xcx and Troye Sivan. We kinda won the holiday, sorry.
